Renowned Japanese curator talks about Japanese design to Mapúa students

Japanese curator, design critic, and Musashino Art University professor Hiroshi Kashiwagi gave a lecture to students of the School of Architecture, Industrial Design, and the Built Environment (ARIDBE) on Japanese Design last July 1 at the Mapúa Intramuros campus.

Entitled Curator’s Talk on Japanese Design by Hiroshi Kashiwagi, the lecture highlighted the key characteristics of Japanese design, using several examples from the “Japanese Design Today 100” exhibition, wherein Mr. Kashiwagi is the chief curator. The said exhibition is currently housed at the Metropolitan Museum of Manila.
