To officially welcome the Christmas season in the University and commence the Paskong Mapúan 2022 festivities, the co Mapúa community gathered for the ceremonial tree and Belen lighting last November 25 in the Intramuros campus quadrangle.
The activity was graced by administrators, headed by Mapúa President and CEO, Dr. Reynaldo B. Vea, students, teaching and non-teaching staff, and the Mapúa Cardinal Singers, the University’s official resident choir.
Themed “Tayo ang Biyaya sa Kapwa,” Paskong Mapúan 2022 serves as an inspiration to the members of the Mapúa community to be a blessing to others.

In his speech, Dr. Vea highlighted one of the blessings received by the Mapúa community this year—its recognition as one of the best universities in the world—one that Mapúans “should share with one another and with the Filipino people,” he said.
“We shall always be strong. We shall always have the good students. We shall always be a big player in the Philippine education scene. That guarantees our future,” he added.
The Paskong Mapúan 2022 University-wide festivities wrap up on December 15, which will feature Laro ng Lahi, Christmas Caroling Concert, and Street Party Concert, among the activities of the said annual Christmas celebration.
