Mapúa and Universiti Malaya host webinar on advanced materials and chemical technology
Mapúa University and its partner university Universiti Malaya of Malaysia hosted a webinar on Advanced Materials and Chemical Technology last November 24.
With speakers composed of officers and professors of both universities, the webinar was the introductory event of the 1st Mapúa University Mini-Colloquium Series, which is spearheaded by Mapúa’s Office of International Careers and Exchange Program (ICEP).
The speakers of the colloquium were from Mapúa’s School of Chemical, Biological, Materials Engineering and Sciences (CBMES) and Universiti Malaya’s Nanotechnology & Catalysis Research Centre (NANOCAT).
Research gatherings between Mapúa and its partner foreign schools are part of the University’s internationalization and research, development, and innovation (RDI) activities held to discover, impart, and build-up new knowledge among its professors and students, as well as to contribute to the global effort of generating new knowledge to advance industries and to address global issues.
The webinar on advanced materials and chemical technology will be followed by three other colloquiums together with other Asian univeristies: Mini-Colloquium on Renewable Energy with Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS Malaysia on November 27, Joint-Colloquium on Bio/Nanomaterials and their Applications with Universiti Kebangasan Malaysia on December 10, and Mini-Colloquium on Renewable Energy with Universiti Islam Indonesia on December 15.
