Mapúa starts year 2020 as top-performing school and with new topnotchers in two licensure exams
Mapúa University continues to live up to its culture of excellence by being a top-performing school in two licensure exams at the start of 2020. The University was hailed as the number one top-performing school of the January 2020 Sanitary Engineer Licensure Examination (100% passing rate) and number two top-performing school of the January 2020 Architect Licensure Examination (80.39% passing rate).
The University also takes pride in its graduates Engr. John Megryan B. Samartino, second placer of the Sanitary Engineering board exam, and Arch. Denzel Lance L. Dantis, second placer of the Architecture board exam, with ratings of 80.05% and 83.20%, respectively.
Mapúa has generated a total of 374 board topnotchers in 11 of Professional Regulation Commission (PRC)-administered exams since 2000.
Mapúa’s record of board topnotchers is just one of its many achievements as the country’s premier engineering and technological university. It has been hailed as one of the top 500 universities in Asia for two consecutive years since 2019 by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS). It also holds the most number of programs accredited by the US-based agency ABET, which accredits programs in applied and natural science, computing, engineering, and engineering technology. Mapúa also has the most number of engineering programs hailed as Centers of Excellence by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
