Mapúa professor’s research on artificial neural network and genetic algorithm featured in DPWH’s research symposium

Mapúa University professor Dr. Dante Silva was one of the researchers to present in the DPWH Research Symposium last November 7 at the University of the Philippines Diliman.

As his contribution to sustainable innovations in the engineering industry, Dr. Silva presented his collaborative research involving artificial neural network and genetic algorithm. His study was one of the most regarded researches chosen in the conference in line with its theme “Building the Future towards Sustainable Development.”

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Bureau of Research and Standards (BRS) hosted the symposium to highlight researches aiming to improve stability and resiliency of infrastructures. Aside from Mapúa University, other presentations included researches from De La Salle University, Ingevity Corporation, University of the Philippines – Diliman; GEOBRUGG AG; Maccaferri (Philippines), Inc.; Shell Bitumen Philippines; and the Bureau of Research and Standards.
