Mapúa BEEHIVE Accelerator Program to hold pitching demo on August 17

The BEEHIVE Accelerator Program of Mapúa University will be conducting its pitching demo on August 17, 2019. The change of date is to ensure that students and faculty of the University will be able to witness the pitching demonstration that will be delivered by the 10 startup teams who participated in the program. The pitching demo is the culminating activity of Mapúa’s BEEHIVE Accelerator Program where the startup teams will be showcasing their products and services to generate seed funding from investors. It will be held at the Audio Visual Room 2 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The startup teams are composed of students and alumni from Mapúa’s School of Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management, School of Electrical, Electronics, and Computer Engineering, School of Information Technology, and E.T. Yuchengco School of Business and Management.

The BEEHIVE Accelerator Program of Mapúa is one of the key deliverables of the BEEHIVE Project (Building Entrepreneurial Ecosystems to Enhance Higher Education Value-Added for Better Graduate Employability) under the Erasmus+ Programme for Capacity Building in Higher Education, designed to enhance partner universities’ student and graduate’s employability and their ability to create jobs.

On September 9 to 12, 2019, Mapúa University will be hosting the project’s international culminating activity, the BEEHIVE International Conference: BEEHIVE International Pitch Event and Final Partner Meeting. The Mapúa team will be headed by Dr. Delia B. Senoro, linkage officer of Mapúa’s Office of International Linkages for Research and Development (ILRAD). Representatives from St. Louis University in Baguio, University of Cebu, Binus University and University of Indonesia, and 11 partner European institutions, Mapúa’s partners for the BEEHIVE Project, will also be attending the event.
