United Architects of the Philippines Student Auxilliary (UAPSA)


The United Architects of the Philippines Student Auxiliary (Mapúa University Chapter) envisions in empowering Architecture students in their abilities, to unite, motivate and install discipline among architectural students in leading to be well-defined future professionals.


As a junior arm of the professional organization, it brings together affiliated architectural schools in the country with the aim of gearing students towards professionalism, camaraderie, and selfless service. Its purpose is to motivate and install discipline among architectural students and to propagate the goals and aspirations of all architects.

In order to project the value and the importance of the role of the Architecture student in nation building and public service, UAPSA has adopted the following objectives:

  • Foster an appreciation and understanding of the ideas and objectives of the National Organization
  • Emphasize and promote educational and professional aspects of architecture student activities on the campus of Mapúa University.
  • Foster fellowship, cooperation, and unity between members of this Chapter and others in and amongst the National Organization.
  • Enhance understanding of the current and future scope of architectural practice; and promote cooperation with, and involvement in, the community, creating responsible citizens and professionals.

The United Architects of the Philippines Student Auxiliary – Mapúa University Chapter (UAPSA-MIT), under the authority and supervision of the Institute’s School of Architecture, Industrial Design and the Built Environment, is a duly-recognized student organization of the United Architects of the Philippines (UAP). UAPSA-MIT is one of the 81 active chapters of the United Architects of the Philippines Student Auxiliary (UAPSA) - the national organization, known to cater seminars, events, and activities for its members’ academic and personal well-being. For years, UAPSA has been gearing its members towards camaraderie and professionalism.
