During this time of the pandemic, Mapúa is addressing the obstacles in obtaining a Mapúa education. For the Academic Year 2023-2024, admission to Mapúa University will be done through the Mapúa Program Placement Assessment (MPASS) in place of the Mapúa Scholastic Aptitude Exam (MSAE).

MPASS is the University’s standardized assessment tool that measures the student’s cognitive and academic development. MPASS is administered to identify the suitable senior high school strand based on assessment results. For senior high school, strands are classified into STEM, ABM, HUMSS, GAS and ARTS and DESIGN.

In MPASS, all applicants are given the opportunity to enroll in Mapúa.

General guidelines

1. The MPASS will be administered online.
2. In filling out the online form, Senior high school applicants will be asked to select one (1) academic strand they want to be admitted to.
3. The admission fee for A.Y. 2023-2024 is discounted at P300.00 per application.
4. Applicants with at least 85% General Weighted Average (GWA) and final grades in Science, Mathematics, and English in Grade 9 are exempted from taking the MPASS.
5. Applicants who attended Non-Formal Education Accreditation and Equivalency or completers of Alternative Learning System Accreditation and Equivalency shall be required to take the MPASS.
6. All applicants who are interested to study senior high school in Mapúa, regardless if they are exempted or not in taking the assessment, shall provide all admission requirements.
7. Applicants exempted from taking the MPASS may proceed directly to slot reservation by paying the non-refundable reservation fee of Php 5,000 through any of the available payment channels.
8. The application is considered official once a receipt has been issued (for MPASS takers).

Reservation is ongoing until further notice. To reserve your slot, just log in to the Applicant Portal, select your preferred mode of payment, and settle the non-refundable reservation fee of P5,000 through any of the available payment channels. Log in to the Applicant Portal and click the logo of your preferred payment channel. The reference number found in Applicant Portal will serve as the Account Number when paying the reservation fee.

Mapua University’s fully online enrollment system integrates all the activities involved in the entire enrollment process, streamlining and digitalizing admission. It aims to provide incoming Grade 11 and college freshmen students a fast and efficient way of processing their admission to the University with these easy steps:

Step 1: Log in to Applicant Portal.

Step 2: Select program or strand.

Step 3: Fill out Student Data Sheet (SDS).

All enrollees are required to submit a completely filled-out Student Data Sheet (SDS). Step 4: Choose your schedule of classes.

Schedules are assigned on a “first come, first served” basis. The schedule of courses will be provided.

Step 5: Select payment scheme.

Choose whether to pay the matriculation fee in full or installment.

Step 6: Finalize your class schedule and payment scheme selected.

The enrollee will be provided with a Generated Schedule and Assessment (GSA). This includes the summary of fees, payment schedule, and courses to be enrolled.

Step 7: Pay the matriculation fee and other charges.

The enrollee can pay the matriculation fee and other charges in full payment or installment through the following payment channels in the Applicant Portal (except for Bank Fund Transfer and GCash):

What will happen to the voucher given by DepEd if the student is granted an ETY SHS Scholarship by the University?

A student who is a DEPED QVA/ESC recipient needs to submit the certificate/voucher for validation. However, the subsidy cannot be refunded to the student. Should the student, in any circumstance, be revoked of scholarship, the DepEd voucher assistance will take effect instead.

Can students change their preferred schedule after one semester?

Students can no longer change their schedules, as during enrollment, class schedules for the whole year (first and second semesters) are set.

Can a student shift to another strand after one semester?

Yes. Students can shift to another strand after one semester. Upon shifting, students must accomplish all specialized courses necessary for the new strand. The University does not guarantee that shifters will finish within the 2-year Senior High School period, as the availability and number of courses to be enrolled in per semester (including summer) will be considered.

Is there a school uniform requirement?

Like college students, Senior High School students do not have uniforms except for their P.E. uniforms, which may be purchased from the Mapúa Bookstore during enrollment. While there is no school uniform requirement, students are expected to dress appropriately in accordance with the University’s dress code.
