Program Offerings

Cisco Networking Academy Program

The Cisco Networking Academy Program is a comprehensive e-learning program that provides students with the Internet technology skills essential in a global economy. The Networking Academy delivers web-based content, online assessment, student performance tracking, hands-on labs, instructor training and support, and preparation for industry standard certifications. Launched in October 1997 with 64 educational institutions in seven states - Arizona, California, Florida, Minnesota, Missouri, New York, and North Carolina - the Networking Academy has spread to more than 145 countries and all 50 U.S. states. Over 260,000 students have enrolled at more than 9800 Academies located in high schools, technical schools, colleges, universities, and community-based organizations. Cisco Systems trains the Cisco Academy Training Centers (CATCs), the CATCs train Regional Academies and the Regional Academies train the Local Academy Instructors who then educate students.

HP-UX Program

A curriculum-integrated program designed to provide Mapúa students taking up Computer Engineering with HP-UX courses geared towards industry and globally recognized professional certifications thereby honing their skills and makes them globally competitive as well. The program is also aimed to provide the certification tracks to individuals who wish to broaden their knowledge on advanced IT technologies.

English Proficiency Training Program

The program was designed to expose and immerse Korean learners to authentic English communication learning environments. These are meant to progressively build them the English communicative ability that they would need to competently conduct themselves and interact with others.

Developing the Competent Communicator recognizes the effectiveness of the task-based communicative approach in language learning as well as the functional value of language in the areas of speaking, reading, writing and listening.

Foreign Languages Program

MAPUA-CCESC established collaborations with following institutions to deliver and disseminate foreign languages and culture to the students:

  • Alliance Française De Manille, a prominent French cultural institution dedicated to promoting the French language and culture
  • Instituto Cervantes, a public institution created by Spain in 1991 for the promotion and teaching of the Spanish language and for the dissemination of the Spanish and Latin American Culture
  • Golden Globe Development and Trainig Center, which offers educations and training in Japanese language integrated with culture, social and work ethics

Mapúa-CCESC established a program Project Management using Primavera software tool, a course to develop the competencies of students and professionals to be adept in developing, controlling, analyzing and communicating project schedules loaded with resources and cost. This program of CCESC, in collaboration with the Center for Continuing Education and Special Competencies, School of ME, School of ChE-Chm and School of CE-ENSE has an equivalent curricular credit units.

Review Courses

In coordination with the different schools of Mapúa, the center provides review programs to help prepare the aspiring engineers in their respective licensure examinations. The programs include MGM, CHE, EE and ECE.

PCB Design

PCB Design software is primarily used for the analysis of electronic Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design as an aid in minimizing potential PCB design problems that can contribute to electromagnetic emissions. The Use of the software analysis services throughout the PCB design cycle can help eliminate any circuit design revisions needed to address signal integrity, crosstalk, and emission problems. The optimization of PCB performance provides an effective means of preparing equipment for meeting applicable EMC test requirements. Proper planning for use of the software can result in lower overall development costs for most electronic equipment.

Safety Engineering and Management

The course includes the subjects prescribed by the Bureau of Working Conditions. Subjects are specially included to develop more safety effectiveness on-the-job: Modern theories of accident causation, Advanced techniques in hazards identification, Systematic methods of accident investigation, Proven ways to highlight the economic/financial benefits of safety, Scientific measurements of safety performance, Effective safety and health programming
