The Center for Guidance and Counseling aims to develop the total well-being of students as individuals and as members of society. The center supports the school in creating an environment that is conducive to learning and in providing the means to help the students achieve their optimum potentials. Through its different services, the Center for Guidance and Counseling aims to develop the students to be Filipino in spirit but global in outlook. It also intends to inculcate among the students the Mapuan core values of discipline, excellence, commitment, integrity and relevance.

In line with the vision and mission of the school, the Center for Guidance and Counseling hopes to render services designed to help the students “focus on the attainment of knowledge and skills for developing healthy life goals and acquiring the behaviors to reach these goals.” (Schmidt, 2003)
