BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN GEOLOGICAL SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING (GSE)

This program provides skills for the practical application of the principles, concepts, and techniques of the geological sciences and geological engineering to human needs. It is a broad interdisciplinary field involving many areas such as: site investigation, foundation, and slope design; environmental site characterization and planning; exploration and development of geothermal, oil, gas, and mineral deposits; hydrogeology and groundwater studies; natural and man-made hazard investigation; and geomechanics and excavation engineering.

Graduates of the program may pursue a career in industries such as construction, mining, geothermal, and petroleum, or engage in environmental consultancy or government service.
