BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN BIOLOGICAL ENGINEERING (BE)

This program blends natural sciences, like biology, chemistry, microbiology, biochemistry, and genetics, with technological fields, such as engineering, computer science, and manufacturing. It is focused on the application of principles of molecular and cell science in agriculture, health/medicine, forensic science, and in different industries such as fuel, medicine, and plant and animal products to name a few.

Graduates of this program may engage in the following professions: research on and development of food, pharmaceutical products, nutraceuticals, and biomaterials; validation of operations and processes in bio-industries; design and engineering of fermentation systems.
