DEVELOPMENT OFFICE FOR INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY


Business Analyst

Analyzes, interprets, evaluates, and interrelates data, and develops Use Cases and Activity diagram of the applications to be developed; analyzes requirements and defines enhancements to existing business application software; translates the business rules into a workable design prior to application development utilizing the Software Engineering tool currently used; participates in various phases of software development through analysis, review and documentation of business rules.

  • With a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or Industrial Engineering
  • Basic knowledge in Unified Modeling Language (UML)
  • Basic knowledge on software development and software development tool such as VB
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of application design methodologies and the SLDC model
  • Good interpersonal and analytical skills

Web Developers

Designs, develops and maintains web applications; designs web interfaces and develops layout design and concepts; ensures the development and implementation of a standard structure and information flow for the Mapúa portal and other sites under it.

  • With a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or Information Management
  • Adept in Web design and development
  • Adept in web browser and web server management
  • Solid knowledge and skills with HTML, XML, JavaScript, CSS, ASP/ASP.Net
  • Basic knowledge of color theory, layout and design
  • Knowledgeable in systems analysis, development, planning, and documentation methods and standards

Software / Applications Developer

Designs, reviews, analyzes, programs, modifies, develops and implements software-programming applications and software products; participates in various phases of software development through the interpretation of business rules in the design of applications; ensures the strict adoption of version controls, code libraries, source control systems, testing tools and methodologies and software release management; ensures that all system dependencies are properly documented prior to roll out and use by the different departments; coordinates with the Database Administrator for the database needs and requirements of all developed applications.

  • With a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or Information Management
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of application coding methodologies and the SDLC model
  • Adept in software development using database applications
  • Adept in client/server, multi-tier and .Net technology
  • Adept in systems analysis, development, planning, and documentation methods and standards
  • Adept with standard software development concepts, practices, and procedures

Systems and Network Engineers

Performs system state backup of all servers in accordance with the backup and recovery strategy policy; maintains a schedule of backup tasks in accordance with the backup strategy for optimal utilization of backup media; monitors distributed file system services and ensures successful synchronization to target replicas; creates, modifies, deletes file shares and assigns file share security; monitors software license utilization for acquired software; creates media duplicates of acquired software on a central repository to minimize media damage and/or lost.

  • With a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or Information Management
  • CISCO certified
  • Adept in using Distributed File System and File Replication
  • Adept in the installation, configuration and maintenance of various network services running under the Microsoft Windows infrastructure


INSTITUTIONALIZED LABORATORY MANAGEMENT OFFICE


Laboratory Administrator / Coordinator

Oversee laboratory operations; manage laboratory assistants; attend to maintenance and calibration concerns of various laboratory equipments.

  • Preferably a graduate of any engineering course
  • PRC license as required
  • With strong background in laboratory operations
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills

Laboratory Assistants

Oversee laboratory operations as assigned; assist faculty members and students during classes; attend to maintenance and calibration concerns as needed.

  • Preferably a graduate of any engineering course
  • PRC license as required
  • With strong background in laboratory operations
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply


HOTEL & RESTAURANT MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT


Chef Instructors

  • with special Culinary training and a minimum of 5 yrs. work related experience.

HRM Instructors

  • Masteral degree holder in any related field to HRM
  • BS-HRM graduate from a reputable school
  • with at least 3 years work experience in the hospitality industry
