Admissions

Mapúa believes in quality, world-class, but affordable education. No tuition increase. Entrance examinations are administered as scheduled from August to April of each school year. Applicants shall be informed of the scheduled date and time of the examination upon their application at the Admissions Office.

ADMISSION GUIDELINES FOR INCOMING FRESHMEN BATCH 2016

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Completely filled-out Application form.
  • 2 pcs. ID picture (plain background), size 1½” x 1½”
  • Photocopy of any of the following:
    • 4th year HS Report Card
    • Certificate of Good Moral Character (with school year)
    • Certificate of Enrollment
    • Current school ID with school year and year level
  • Application fee (if applicable)
  • Additional Requirements:
    • For applicants who attended bridging programs in their high school (graduation year is 2016):
      • Certificate of Candidacy for Graduation stating the following details:
        • Student attended a bridging program in the school
        • Year level and graduation year
      • Additional requirements for foreign nationals:
        • Alien Certificate of Registration (ACR) or Special Study Permit (SSP)
        • Original and photocopy of Passport
    • For applicants from schools in the Philippines or schools abroad under DepEd, who graduated in the previous years (graduation year is 2015 and prior) and did not enroll in any college/university after graduation:
      • Original and photocopy of 4th year HS Report Card
      • Certification from the high school principal regarding the student’s F137-A.
        Contents of the certification are as follows:
        • The student’s Form 137-A is still in the school file
        • The student’s F137-A has not been forwarded to another college/university
      • Additional requirements for foreign nationals:
        • Alien Certificate of Registration (ACR) or Special Study Permit (SSP)
        • Original and photocopy of Passport
    • For graduates of Non-Formal Education Accreditation and Equivalency or graduates of Alternative Learning System Accreditation and Equivalency:
      • Certificate of Rating (with passing marks in all subjects)
    • For graduates of Associate Degree Programs:
      • Transcript of Records
        • No failing grade
        • Weighted average of at least 2.00 or its equivalent, excluding Religion, PE and NSTP
      • Honorable Dismissal/Certificate of Transfer Credential
      • Photocopy of NSO Birth Certificate
      • Photocopy of the Certificate of Good Moral Character
    • For applicants coming from schools abroad (except for Filipino schools under DepEd):
      • Authenticated Transcript of Records from Senior Year
      • Certificate of completion of secondary education (senior high school / grade 12 or its equivalent)
      • Certificate of Good Moral Character or Recommendation from the School Guidance Counselor or Principal
      • For Filipino applicants:
        • Birth certificate printed on National Statistics Office (NSO) paper
        • Original and photocopy of Filipino passport
      • For foreign nationals:
        • Alien Certificate of Registration (ACR) or Special Study Permit (SSP)
        • Original and photocopy of Passport

NOTE:

  • * The application is considered official once a receipt has been issued:
    • MIT’s official receipt (for those who applied in-campus) or
    • MIT’s provisional receipt (for those who applied at any accredited Testing Center)
  • * Examinees should present their examination permits together with the receipts on the day of the examination.

ENROLLMENT REQUIREMENTS:

  • Mapúa Examination Permit or Examination Result Letter or Notice of Results
  • Original 4th year HS Report Card (Form 138) with the applicant's eligibility for admission to college duly signed by the school principal
  • Fully accomplished Student Data Sheet / Enrolment Form
  • Original Birth Certificate printed on National Statistics Office (NSO) paper
  • Original certificate of good moral character (dated February 2016 onwards) from the high school (with school seal)
  • 1 pc. ID picture (plain background), size 1½” x 1½”
  • One (1) long brown envelope to contain all of the above
  • Additional Requirements:
    • For graduates from schools in the Philippines or schools abroad under DepEd, who graduated in the previous years (graduation year is 2015 and prior) and did not enrol in any college/university after graduation:
      • Certification from the high school principal regarding the student’s F137-A.
        Contents of the certification are as follows:
        • The student’s Form 137-A is still in the school file
        • The student’s F137-A has not been forwarded to another college/university
    • For graduates of Non-Formal Education Accreditation and Equivalency or graduates of Alternative Learning System Accreditation and Equivalency

    • For Filipino graduates coming from schools abroad (except for Filipino schools under DepEd):
      • Authenticated Transcript of Records from Senior Year
      • Certificate of completion of secondary education (senior high school or its equivalent)
      • Certificate of Good Moral Character or Recommendation from the School Guidance Counselor or Principal
    • For foreign nationals:
      • Current graduates (graduation year is 2016) who graduated from senior high school in the Philippines or schools abroad under DepEd:
        • Alien Certificate of Registration (ACR) or Special Study Permit (SSP)
        • Original and photocopy of Passport
        • Photocopy of birth certificate from country of origin
      • Current graduates (graduation year is 2016) and previous graduates (graduation year is 2015 and prior) who graduated from schools abroad:

Additional Requirements:

  • For enrollees beginning 2nd or 3rd term: Official Results of Basic Medical Laboratory Work-up (CBC, Urinalysis, Chest X-Ray: PA View) from any major hospitals.
  • For Valedictorians and Salutatorians (of duly accredited Philippine high schools with at least 60 graduating students): a certification of honors indicating the total number of graduates signed by the high school principal (with school seal).
