    Advance Placement Examination

    The Advanced Placement Examination (APE) is a NON-COMPULSORY examination administered to passers of the Mapúa Institute of Technology Entrance Examination who intend to enroll in the Institute. By passing the APE, which is conducted by the respective Mapúa Schools/Departments offering the identified courses prior to the incoming freshman’s first quarter in Mapúa, the student is presented an option to be given advanced credits in a certain general education course/s (i.e. Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, English, Filipino and Rizal) or not. Consequently, passing the examination also means an opportunity for the student to take a course/s higher than the one/s he/she decided to credit via the APE. Examination fee for each of the courses in the APE is PhP1, 500.00 only
