    Overview

    Vision and Mission

    Vision

    The School of Graduate Studies (GS) envisions itself as a vehicle of change that will contribute in the improvement of the lives of Filipinos by providing advanced training in science and technology and conducting research activities that are of national and global significance.

    Mission

    The School of GS commits to:

    1. Offer excellent graduate programs that will provide advanced and specialized training to students by continuously updating its curricula in relation to worldwide academic standards and industry needs.
    2. Conduct research on cutting-edge technologies and emerging fields of learning.
    3. Create an atmosphere that will foster innovative creations, critical thinking, and incessant quest for answers.
    4. Initiate the application of research output done by faculty and students to help improve people’s lives.
    5. Support faculty members in their post-doctoral work and training in new and advanced technologies.
    6. Encourage the dissemination of research output of faculty members and students through participation in local and international conferences and fora, publication of the same in local and international journals, and participation in graduate seminars and colloquia.

    Program Educational Objectives

    1. To continuously update its graduate program curricula in relation to worldwide academic standards and industry needs.
    2. To create centers of research that will conduct activities on research and development on emerging fields and cutting-edge technologies.
    3. To support faculty members in their postdoctoral work and training in new and advanced technologies.
    4. To encourage the dissemination of research output of faculty members and students through participation in local and international conferences and fora, publication to local and international journals, and participation in graduate seminars and colloquia.
    5. To initiate the transfer of research output into useful technologies.
