    Overview

    The SLHS teaching force has been steadfast in achieving its goals. Students are trained to attain proficiency in the English language in order to be competitive with their counterparts here and in other countries. Through the Humanities, they are made aware of the importance of intellectual, moral and aesthetic development. Their exposure to the Social Sciences develops in them the consciousness of human problems and their solutions. In short, the School believes in making a difference through the formation of the individual student into a total person.

    This is the School where ideas are heard and plans are bared, and where the nobleness of teaching is proclaimed. For what is teaching but a commitment to the young, to educate them, to discipline their minds and to inflame their spirit to become useful members of society.

    Program Educational Objectives

    Bachelor of Arts In Psychology & Bachelor of Science in Psychology

    1. Graduates will be technically competent. This includes having the ability to carry out psychological protocols in diagnosis, assessment, and intervention involving clients in various fields of psychological practice such as in the industrial, clinical, and educational settings.
    2. Graduates will be able to apply their knowledge and skills across wide facets of psychological practice, including marketing, teaching, community development, research, and other relevant professional areas where psychology practitioners are considered necessary.
    3. Graduates will be prepared for professional practice in psychology. Graduates will demonstrate an understanding of ethical, societal, and professional responsibilities, will recognize the confines of their knowledge and actively seek out autonomous learning opportunities, and will be able to function and communicate effectively both as individuals and within multidisciplinary teams.
