With the distinction of being the first school in East Asia and the Philippines to get the prestigious ABET accreditation for its academic programs and the first in the country to fully adopt the outcomes-based approach to education, Mapúa Institute of Technology has become a trailblazer in Philippine academic community in this respect. excellence and social relevance towards the full attainment of its vision. The Institute
celebrated the opening of its 87th Foundation Anniversary on 24 January 2012.
ABET Ball
After establishing itself as the leading technological school in the country, Mapúa
Institute of Technology has successfully achieved its global status with an international
accreditation for its academic programs. Mapúa celebrated its 7 newly ABET-Accredited
programs with the ABET Ball on 23 November 2011 at the Sofitel Philippine Plaza.
