The SLHS teaching force has been steadfast in achieving its goals. Students are
trained to attain proficiency in the English language in order to be competitive
with their counterparts here and in other countries. Through the Humanities, they
are made aware of the importance of intellectual, moral and aesthetic development.
Their exposure to the Social Sciences develops in them the consciousness of human
problems and their solutions. In short, the School believes in making a difference
through the formation of the individual student into a total person.
This is the School where ideas are heard and plans are bared, and where the nobleness
of teaching is proclaimed. For what is teaching but a commitment to the young, to
educate them, to discipline their minds and to inflame their spirit to become useful
members of society.
